Role Overview
Reporting to the Financial Controller, as the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be part of a small finance team. In your role, you will be supporting all month-end related tasks including weekly and monthly financial reporting and month-end close activities. Day to day this will include processing journals, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and conducting daily bank reconciliations. In addition, as the Senior Financial Accountant you will have the responsibility to maintain the fixed asset register and lodgement of BAS and FBT.

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will focus on driving improvement and automation in the month-end reporting process. This will include general process improvement as well as leveraging systems to improve efficiencies and reduce the risk of errors. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to step up to a senior role.

Responsibilities
  • Managing month-end process including lease & loan, revenue & cost and other accrual preparations.
  • Timely and accurate monthly reporting preparation within 5 days
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Responsible for fixed assets management
  • Preparation of tax lodgement including GST, Income tax, PAYG, FBT, etc for AU
  • Drive working capital improvement
  • Prepare Cashflow forecast & actuals
  • Assist annual statutory auditing
  • Assist with annual budgeting and rolling forecast
  • Continuous improvement of process and control environment
  • Other Ad hoc tasks
Candidate Profile
You are a fully qualified CA/CPA or on the path with extensive experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally, you have gained best practice experience. You also have demonstrated a background in being able to perform well within a private enterprise. You are a natural business partner who thrives on driving value and efficiency within processes and reporting. You also have extensive experience in the use of Excel. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic that you are extremely proud of. Experience with Pronto would be highly regarded.
