As a Business Analyst within our strategic delivery function, you will play a pivotal role in translating our business objectives into delivery solutions to help drive outcomes that are core to our strategic ambition. This position sits within the business function, requiring a strong understanding of business processes and objectives, while operating comfortably within a technology-driven environment. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to analyse, define and document business requirements, translate needs into delivery solutions and support execution.

So, what’s the job?

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

• You'll engage with business stakeholders to extract, analyse, and document business requirements for allocated projects.
• You'll conduct thorough requirement workshops and interviews to understand business processes, pain points, and objectives.
• You'll translate business needs into clear and comprehensive requirements documentation, including use cases, user stories, and process flows.

Project Support:

• You'll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and solutions.
• You'll act as a liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• You'll drive outcomes by actively participating in project planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives when required to ensure timely delivery of solutions.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• You'll analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decision-making and strategy.
• You'll develop reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to stakeholders.
• You'll proactively identify areas for process improvement and optimization within the business.
• You'll drive outcomes by championing continuous improvement initiatives and leading cross-functional teams to implement changes effectively.

And what are we looking for?

• You'll have proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
• You'll be comfortable operating within a technology-driven environment, with mature knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• You'll have a strong understanding of business processes, operations, and objectives.
• You'll possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
• You'll have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including external partners as required.
• You'll be proficient in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience in SQL, Excel, or similar tools.
• You'll have certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Project Management (e.g., PMP) as a plus.
