About Our Client

Work for a prominent utility service provider that plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliable and efficient supply of power in Australia.

Job Description
  • Conduct financial analysis, manage performance reporting, and contribute to the coordination and development of financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Finance Managers to establish effective partnerships with the business, offering commercial financial insights and advice.
  • Support the implementation of strategies and frameworks to enhance the understanding and accurate interpretation of analysis, commercial advice, forecasts, and reports by business managers.
  • Propose recommendations that foster cultural, behavioural, or procedural changes across the business and suggest corrective actions upon identifying underlying issues in data integrity or business/system processes.
  • Take the lead in the month-end close process, encompassing tasks such as processing journals, reviewing results, and engaging in discussions with business partners to challenge trends and performance.
  • Aid in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing reliable financial advice and recommendations.
  • Conduct modelling, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modelling as required.
  • Fulfil additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the manager.
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience as a financial analyst or management accountant within the utilities industry. A demonstrated history of effectively interpreting and communicating intricate financial information to non-financial stakeholders is essential. Familiarity with Power BI and TM1 Software will be viewed favourably.
