How you'll make an impact
AMP Group Finance plays an important role in enabling AMP to adapt and thrive in a changing environment. As an influential strategic business partner, AMP Group Finance focuses on driving long term strategy, providing valuable advice and insights across all business functions, creating and embedding efficient and agile processes and systems, and robust governance and financial control.
The role is responsible for delivering the tax compliance and reporting requirements of AMP superannuation entities. The role reports to the Head of Tax and will have a focus on the preparation of the direct tax lodgement and compliance obligations for Australia and international jurisdictions, including the execution of business line initiatives through effective business partnering, provision of advice and driving ongoing efficiencies in process.
You'll make an impact by:
- Preparation of direct tax compliance and the regulatory reporting of income taxes for Superannuation entities.
- Preparation of accurate and timely tax effect accounting calculations and reporting for quarterly, half-year and full-year processes.
- Timely calculation and payment of PAYG instalment income.
- Supporting ATO and foreign revenue engagement.
- Provide guidance and support when required to other members of the Tax team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide tax advice and support to the business and implement business line strategy.
- Tax governance and risk management activity, including execution of tax policies.
- Develop, maintain or enhance procedures and process, including as a result of tax law changes.
- Be technically proficient and up to date with taxation law developments.
What you will bring to the team
- Degree Qualified - Major in Accounting
- Qualified CA / CPA (or equivalent)
- Ideally at least 6 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated analytical / problem solving ability
