Head of ICT Engineering - Global Technology Leader - People leadership and strategy, with a small hands-on component

  • $250k base + super + bonus + benefits

Intrinzic has partnered with a global technology leader in the search for a Head of ICT Engineering for their Sydney headquarters.

This organisation is at the heart of the demands of the Data and AI revolution, offering an exciting opportunity to join during a period of rapid expansion across the APAC region.

As the Head of ICT Engineering, you'll undertake a dynamic role, emphasizing strong leadership and strategic vision (70%), while also engaging in hands-on work (30%).

You will have a background in traditional infrastructure, complemented by expertise in modern cloud-native engineering, Azure Cloud Native stack development, and proficiency with systems like ServiceNow and ERP (NetSuite or similar).

You will be a proven leader with a strong track record, adept at mentoring, coaching, and leading by example. You will be instrumental in fostering the growth of the current team of 6, with plans to double in size over the next two years.

Effective stakeholder management is crucial, as you'll engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders from C-suite executives to vendors, ensuring alignment and success. Your forward-thinking approach will be key in navigating challenges, identifying pros and cons, and steering the team towards successful outcomes.

With a focus on delivery, you'll manage a diverse technical portfolio, steering projects from conception to implementation, and leveraging internal and external partnerships for success.

As the business scales, they are seeking someone with a growth mindset, ready to drive change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that sometimes might lack structure.

Key skills/experience required:
  • Track record of strong leadership – growing and developing individuals and teams
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic and forever changing environments
  • Technical expertise with Azure cloud native engineering, architecture, DevOps tooling, networking, ERP
  • Experience managing and delivering IT projects end-to-end
  • Stakeholder and vendor management experience
  • Bachelor's degree - Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
  • Program and project management experience – nice to have
