Nurse Unit Manager

An excellent opportunity exists for a highly skilled and self-motivated Registered Nurse looking to continue developing management skills as part of an already motivated and achieving Cardiac team at a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. It is a full-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include the day-to-day management of the ward and resources as well as providing leadership that enhances the advancement of clinical practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of postgraduate experience;
- Previous experience in a cardiac setting is essential for this role;
- Post-graduate studies in management qualifications will be highly regarded;
- You thrive on problem-solving, fostering a positive and supportive culture, and providing dedicated and specialised advice to your team members;
- The ability to manage clinical risk and implement process improvements.

The hospital, located on the Mornington Peninsula, is a comprehensive 344-bed acute emergency, surgical, medical, cardiac, and obstetric facility. The hospital currently accommodates a 14-bay emergency department, 226 medical and surgical, 36 cardiac, 11 ICU, 7 Neonatal, 14 Obstetric, and 30 Oncology beds, including 15-day infusion chairs.
