What you’ll doWe are looking for a Lead/Principal Civil Engineer to join our Bunbury team.
The role responsibilities include:
- Design coordination for selected projects or components of projects, collaborating with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Providing technical advice for all aspects of civil design including bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, constructability, and interfaces with other disciplines.
- Managing effective and positive stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.
- Providing direction to the project team and promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk assessments/mitigation.
- Working with and mentoring junior engineers, designers, and drafters and guide them in delivery and their professional development.
- Providing direction to the civil design team, if required.
- Preparing calculations and checking design drawings and models to ensure they align with applicable standards and specifications.
- Preparing study and design documentation, technical specifications, and project deliverables.
Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
Extensive civil engineering experience delivering resource and infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated technical acumen with proven experience of managing and delivering design solutions.
Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery and an effective collaborator with all key engineering disciplines.
A collaborative approach and appreciation for the value of teamwork.
A passion for continuous improvement, quality, and improving service for our clients.
High attention to detail, good analytical and communication skills.
Capacity to lead and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects.
Previous experience across scopes involving roads, drainage, and pads for mining infrastructure and facilities.
Experience in preparing engineering calculations and checking design drawings and models.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with external and internal stakeholders.
