Role: Digital Performance Manager
Digital Channel: SEM (Google Ads, Display, Shopping)
Location: North Sydney
About The Role Reporting to the Head of Search, the Paid Search Manager will manage enterprise-level client search performance in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, supervise an account team, and drive strategic growth.
This role involves ownership, autonomous decision-making, and collaborative internal strategic planning to ensure continued company growth. The Paid Search Manager will oversee the performance, strategy, and growth of multiple brands and accounts.
This client-facing role requires mentoring, managing, and collaborating with your team to drive paid search performance. If you have a track record of leading and managing successful paid search strategies and accounts, we'd love to talk to you.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ years experience with Paid Search (Google Ads and Microsoft Ads)
- Strong understanding of Google Search, Demand Gen, YouTube, Display, and PMax campaigns
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team
- Passion for all things Search
- Experience with Google Ads Editor and Microsoft Ads Editor
- Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics to interpret data and insights
- Experience working with financial data, forecasting, and budgets
- Ability to perform full account audits and recommend optimization strategies and suggestions
- Ability to think strategically and identify and resolve problems in a client-centric environment
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Mentor Team:
- Guide a team of paid search specialists in strategy development, optimization, and reporting.
- Conduct regular meetings, set performance goals, and provide continuous feedback.
Manage Operations:
- Oversee campaign setup, process adherence, and budget pacing.
- Implement standardized processes for campaign management and reporting.
Develop and Execute Strategies:
- Create and implement paid search strategies for high-profile brands.
- Optimize campaigns using keyword research, bid management, and ad copy testing.
Enhance Team Efficiency:
- Establish and refine processes to streamline operations.
- Develop training materials and utilize project management tools.
Hands-on Account Management:
- Make necessary changes to accounts for optimization and troubleshooting.
- Ensure data-driven decisions aligned with campaign objectives.
Collaborate Across Teams:
- Work with Performance, Social, and Creative teams to align strategies.
- Foster strong interdepartmental relationships for integrated efforts.
Client and Partner Relations:
- Build strong relationships with clients and understand their needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic recommendations.
- Maintain relationships with Google and Microsoft for industry insights.
Stay Updated:
- Keep abreast of new search initiatives and industry updates.
- Participate in industry events and share learnings with the team.
