A permanent opportunity has arisen to manage a results driven Accounts Receivable and Banking team within Financial Operations, in the Financial Services Unit of the Finance, Procurement and Facilities Division of the Department of Education.

About Financial Operations:
Financial Operations is comprised of three operational finance teams; Accounts Receivable and Banking, Accounts Payable and Taxation. This role manages the Accounts Receivable and Banking team, reporting to the Director, Financial Operations.
Your Role:
As the Manager, Accounts Receivable and Banking you will contribute to the development of future directions for the Financial Operations Team's capacity and capability through management of the operations of Accounts Receivable and Banking Services.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing high performing teams through effective leadership, empowerment of staff, supportive feedback on performance and promotion of professional development including ensuring staff are skilled for the future.
- Contributing to the achievement of the team's outcomes by providing strategic input on relevant issues and the preparation and implementation of plans.
- Providing expert analysis and future needs advice to senior management about Accounts Receivable and Banking financial policy, systems and services.
- Identifying opportunities for the improvement of financial systems/processes and implementing/promoting those improvements with respect to current and future business needs, including the delivery of innovative and automated financial services and solutions.
- Developing plans, budgets and key performance indicators for the team and measuring and monitoring performance so as to achieve agreed outcomes.
About You:
As the Manager Accounts Receivable and Banking you will;
- Demonstrate experience in leading and managing a financial services accounts receivable and banking work unit undertaking both policy development and operational activities.
- Cultivate productive working relationships with both internal and external clients, providing high level advice to senior management, customers and clients on accounts receivable and banking issues.
- Exemplify personal drive and integrity, demonstrating knowledge of contemporary resource and financial management.
- Possess high level oral and written communication skills including well developed negotiation and interpersonal skills.
