FlapKap is a dynamic and fast-growing startup that provides financial support to digitally-native businesses in the Middle East and Africa. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Admin Executive to join our team. As an Admin Executive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office. You will handle a variety of administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and maintaining office supplies. Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Develop and implement financial planning strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling, to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or applicable accounting standards.
  • Oversee internal and external financial reporting processes, including coordination with auditors and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, laws, and standards, and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
Cash Flow Management:
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational requirements and optimize working capital.
  • Implement effective cash management strategies, including cash forecasting, investment management, and debt financing.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to senior management and department heads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives, business plans, and investment decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CMA, CPA and/or CFA preferred.
  • Proven experience as director of finance or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
