PhD Position in Biomechanics, University of Canberra, Australia

A fully funded PhD scholarship is available at the University of Canberra, Australia, focusing on breast impacts and protective equipment for female athletes in contact, combat, and pseudo-contact sports. This project, embedded within the Applied Biomechanics research theme, offers an annual stipend of AU$35,000 (tax-free) for 3.5 years, including a full tuition fee waiver. The successful candidate will collaborate with national and international researchers and industry partners, with anticipated enrolment in early August 2024.
- Strong background and technical skills in biomechanics, mechanical or biomedical engineering, or exercise science (kinesiology).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with Honours/Masters in relevant fields.
- Open to Australian/New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents, and eligible international students.
