About the role:

Supporting a user base of c. 2,000 people across the Australian region, this position is vital for architecting robust, secure, and scalable cloud and networking solutions. You will collaborate with cross functional teams and 3rd party providers to help steer new and improved solutions both on-premise and in the cloud. You’ll be well versed in Infrastructure administration and AWS architecture making improvements and recommendations to meet the future needs of the business.

Some ongoing / future state requirement;

  • Datacenter relocation & consolidation – upgrading backup solution and virtualisation stack
  • Review and configure monitoring solution for existing SD-WAN network
  • Adoption and deployment of IaC to aid future container builds
  • Review and optimise existing cloud fleet by rightsizing workloads as required

 About you:

The successful Engineer can fulfil duties across the following;

  • Proven experience re-architecting on-premise & cloud solutions in AWS and/or Azure
  • Ability to evaluable and enhance security measures in AWS or affiliated public clouds
  • Experience supporting MPLS and SD-WAN technologies across Cisco Viptela, Meraki
  • Strong collaborative skills with both internal teams and large 3rd party providers
  • General interest and appetite to learn and deploy IaC using tools like Terraform or otherwise
  • Proficient networking skills to support and optimise balanced workloads on-prem and cloud based
  • Experience supporting the Microsoft (O365, M365) stack as it relates to security and identity of accounts
