Our Returners Program is specifically designed to support professionals returning to work after a career break. Having restarted over 600 careers since 2016 globally, our team is here to support you through every stage of the journey, ensuring you have the confidence, skills and opportunity to step back into a successful and rewarding career in business or technology.

FDM is a business and technology consultancy that services the industry across five core specialisms. Each of our Practices provides our Returners with a career path in their most suited field, so we can help you develop and build on your previous skills and experience across multiple capabilities.

You’ll join FDM as a Consultant and provide services to our clients relating to your field within the IT Operations or Data & Analytics Practice.

Following initial upskilling, you’ll be assigned to one of our client projects to put your commercial experience and skills to use, in roles including BI Analyst, Data Engineer, Cloud Engineer and Technical Support Analyst. This could see you working on leading edge digital transformation projects, cloud computing, data migration, creating new platforms, or delivering business process improvements.

Some examples of the types of projects you may be working on include:

  • Maintaining Cloud-based enterprise service applications for workforce planning using AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Working on a data migration project using PowerBI, SSIS and Power Automate tools
  • Supporting a CRM migration project and re-design of the UX/UI across web and mobile.

The client projects you would work on are based on your strengths and areas of expertise. Minimum qualifications

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience, in a commercial IT role
  • Have at least 1 years’ career break
  • Be able to work full time hours on client site up to 5 days p/week (project dependent)
  • Be based in either Sydney or Melbourne
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Technical experience/background is preferred
