The ENcome group is an independent service provider for the operation of PV power plants with a clear focus on Operation and Maintenance (O&M). Since its introduction to the Australian market in 2017, ENcome has expanded its operational base with sites in Queensland and New South Wales. A professional team of highly qualified employees, supported by a 24/7 Control Room, ensures ENcome facilitates the maximum yield for each PV power plant. 


We are seeking an experienced, flexible and highly motivated individual to fill a

Senior Finance and Payroll Officer / Accountant (m/f/n)Full time

Purpose of the Position:

Taking responsibility for payroll system XERO and all payroll activities and payroll related activities. Supporting bookkeeping on a daily basis and overseeing accounting procedures

General Duties and Responsibilities: 

Payroll:

  • Responsible fortnightly payroll transactions
  • Termination payments
  • Preparation & lodgment of payroll tax, superannuation contributions, and PAYG
  • Confidently support team with payroll related queries
  • Supporting in processing purchase invoices.
  • Supporting in preparation of sales invoices.
  • Supporting in processing of credit card statements.
  • Preparation of payment runs.
  • Preparation and submission of BAS
  • Support operations team with sales orders, management and tracking of project expenditures, sub-contractor payment schedules and procurement
  • Fixed asset management
  • Treatment of accruals/provisions for month end closing
  • Liaising with Head Office (in Austria) to ensure correct cost centre allocation
  • Assisting management with ad hoc duties as required
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Report on cash flow and cash balances
  • Payment enquiries and adjustments
  • Assist in compliance with statutory accounting and tax requirements, working with the external accountant/tax agent
  • Monthly checks on accounting figures with mgmt
  • Assist in preparing year end accounts that will be finalized by external accountant

Personal Characteristics: 

  • Mature approach and ability to complete tasks and adapt to change within a fast-paced environment
  • Must be an independent, self-driven, team focused person
  • Communication skills with strong attention to detail and interest in working with an international group
  • Ability to interface with the external accountant for tax, payroll and reporting duties
  • Able to demonstrate commitment to safety, teamwork and the ability to build strong relationships

Experience/Qualifications: 

  • Diploma in accounting with 5 years' extensive experience or;
  • Degree Qualified accountant (desirable)
  • Payroll certificate (desirable)
  • 5 years practical experience
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems; Microsoft Business Central (Dynamics NAV) experience would be ideal
  • Demonstrate strong software and general IT skills, e.g. advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel
