We have an initial 2 year contract for a Project Director to deliver a critical case management system within a government department in Brisbane CBD. Working in a challenging and dynamic environment, the Project Director is responsible for successful delivery of a critical Case Management System (CMS). The Project Director (CMS) will apply high-level technology program/project management methodologies, develop and maintain project schedules, including continual assessment and regular reporting on projects including progress against milestones, issues, resources required to ensure projects are implemented within agreed timeframes, quality standards and budget.

Your key responsibilities:

  1. Develop/maintain a comprehensive business case that includes background of the project, the expected business benefits, the expected costs of the project and the anticipated risks.
  2. Develop an effective plan of action for implementing the CMS project from inception to completion.
  3. Provide strategic and tactical advice to the Project Board through managing reporting and effective interactions with project board members to support successful delivery.
  4. Manage activities associated with the ongoing governance of the project, including preparation and facilitation of meetings, delivery of effective and insightful project reporting, prepare and maintain budgets and assess and manage project interdependencies and risks.
  5. Manage daily operations and supervise project team members involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems to ensure the smooth and proper functioning of the project.

To be successful in this role, the Project Director (CMS) will apply their demonstrated experience in digital projects and project/project methodologies (preferably PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile) and manage the CMS project on a day to day basis. If you have experience with enterprise or significant digital transformation projects, especially with Case Management Systems, and if you enjoy problem solving and fast paced delivery in your work - this is the role for you.
