Functional Safety Engineer, Engineering

As Functional Safety Engineer, you will:
- Develop functional safety plans for product development and work with process owners to address functional safety and process requirements
- Work with our customers to ensure safety and regulatory requirements are met
- Create safety concepts and related documentation
- Perform safety analysis and metrics calculations
- Review and approve work products from a functional safety perspective
- Conduct product functional safety audits and assessments and support third-party audits and assessments
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Science)
- Minimum of 5 years working in a functional safety compliant product development environment with involvement in functional safety activities
- Exposure to development of autonomous mining systems
Key Success Factors:
- Ability to work productively with colleagues and cross-functional teams
- Proficient in leading technical activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as it pertains to articulating, documenting, and presenting findings and recommendations
Nice-to-Have:
- Exposure to ISO 17757 Autonomous Machinery Standard
- Exposure to Western Australia DMIRS Safe Mobile Mining Code of Practice
