About the role
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Townsville Office. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your extensive technical knowledge, experience, and skills and lead a team of high-performing engineers.
Your key duties will include but will not be limited to:
- 22kV to 240/415V (HV & LV) network investigation, analysis, and scoping
- Design of Asset relocations, reinforcement, and upgrades
- Street lighting design, AutoCAD and MicroStation Drafting
- Underground power networks design (including subdivisions)
- Technical feasibility assessments, technical compliance audits, quality assurance checks, and detailed design tasks
- Assist Team Leader to manage and schedule technical resources
- Manage client interactions while maintaining mutually beneficial professional relationships
- Support and mentor junior employees
Requirements
- Tertiary Electrical/Power Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years' engineering experience in consultancy or power utility environment
- Strong first principle understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
- Demonstrated experience in distribution design for overhead and underground networks
- Detailed knowledge of Australian Standards including AS3000 & AS2067 & AS7000
- General overhead Line Design Experience a must
- Someone with excellent client/stakeholder communication record
- Extensive site and/or quality assurance experience are preferred
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
