What we offer:

The candidate will be responsible for managing the mechanical design and delivery aspects of large and complex integrated systems. This will include managing resources at a project team level, controlling relevant budgets, adhering to the overall project schedule, working with other teams in a cross-functional design aspect, and reporting progress to the Mechanical Design Manager.

Tasks and Qualifications:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team. This is a project-based role with the following key responsibilities:

  1. Lead the mechanical design team on assigned projects, including coordinating and allocating tasks
  2. Attend sales and project review meetings
  3. Develop system designs and layouts
  4. Manage design schedule, budget, and work orders
  5. Liaise with Project Managers, architects, builders, consultants, and the purchasing team
  6. Check and approve drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
  7. Develop mechanical installation work packages and inspection and test plans
  8. Provide technical support and advice to other areas of the business and junior employees
  9. Assist with system commissioning and testing
