I am delighted to support my client in finding a Software Implementation Project Manager who will join their senior management ranks as the company enters a new stage of product innovation, market reach and overall global success.

This multi-award winning business offers a risk assessment, analysis, valuation and simulation software platform, focused on supporting their clients with data-driven insights and decisions that have material commercial and financial implications

This business has been a true multinational firm from inception, with its leadership team generally headquartered in Sydney. The fact is however, the success and growth of the company is only going to accelerate as it leverages their close connection with a European group dedicated to creating trading/market platforms for global assets.

Position Overview:

As the Senior Software Implementation Manager, you will be a crucial member of our senior management team, overseeing internal and client projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a seamless transition of client projects into live mode. You'll manage diverse projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and steer a multi-location, international group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal and client projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Allocate and manage project resources effectively.
  • Oversee project execution and monitor progress.
  • Manage key stakeholders across all projects.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quantitative analysts, developers, and QA engineers.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and post-implementation assessments.
  • Ensure the quality of software implementations and client satisfaction.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse, international team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Review and improve project management and customer onboarding tools and practices to support scalable growth.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the senior management team, including weekly project profitability reporting.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets.

Key Role Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing software implementation projects from initiation to closure.
  • Experience with Financial Risk Management systems strongly preferred
  • Proven client focus, with the ability to establish strong relationships and deliver solutions exceeding expectations.
  • Technical aptitude, with a solid understanding of SaaS technology and software development processes.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in quality control and assurance in software implementation.
  • Expertise in identifying, analysing, and mitigating project risks.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Ideally, experience in the energy and commodities markets with a working knowledge of trading, valuation, and risk analytics.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
  • 5 years of experience in project management for global software implementations, in diverse customer delivery models including on-premise, cloud, and SaaS.
  • Proven experience using project management tools and software.
  • Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and delivering client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities managing a diverse, international, multi-location team.
  • Previous experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the SaaS vertical, its trends, and emerging technologies.
