New and exciting opportunity for a Teradata Senior BI Developer to join one of Australia's favourite brands
As a Senior Teradata Data Warehouse Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing enterprise reporting applications that are used by this Loyalty business. The work involves using a variety of technologies but the primary focus of this role will involve developing reporting solutions.
Core responsibilities include:
- Design and coding of database tables and views, in particular star schemas
- Coding and implementing BI solutions using SQL
- Design and development of dashboards (Cognos or Tableau)
- Implementation of end-to-end reporting streams using automation tools
- Performing corrective, adaptive and proactive maintenance the existing suite of Cognos applications
- Using appropriate enterprise tools and processes to manage incidents
- Ensuring communications on incidents are appropriate and all stakeholders are kept adequately informed
- Identifying critical processes for the development of service levels in agreement with business users
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Data modelling, coding and data integration
- Star Schema and dimensional modelling skills
- Strong SQL skills, ideally in a large corporate environment and preferably Teradata and Cognos
- Reporting design and development skills
- Experience working with star schemas
- Strong business analysis skills
- Any experience with CRM / Marketing data ideal
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse design concepts and BI design best practices
- Some experience of ETL process
- CI/CD Experience preferred but not required Window aggregate functions
- Experience in scheduling reports and batch streams
- Good SQL Skills - Preferably with Teradata
