Networks & Systems Administration (Information & Communication Technology)

As a result of a secured engagement with one of our partners, Helix requires an experienced and adaptable Senior RHEL Technical Consultant to add to an already dynamic and highly capable team. You will have proven experience delivering change into large complex infrastructure environments featuring some of the most up-to-date open-source technologies and be comfortable working, and liaising with stakeholders from both customer and internal teams.

Senior RHEL Consultant key requirements:

  • 5 years + experience working in a corporate ICT enterprise level environments with solid exposure to Red Hat Linux as a senior consultant
  • Guide and develop RHEL infrastructure architecture and road maps based on customer requirements
  • Mentor junior RHEL Engineers and consultants
  • Comfortable in cloud design, management and security plus integration and build. 
  • Extensive stakeholder and customer management experience
  • Certifications such as, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) a distinct advantage
  • Excellent and extensive understanding of UNIX / Linux commands
  • Automation skills with Ansible advantageous.
  • OpenStack experience essential
  • CloudForms experience highly regarded
  • Comfortable working knowledge of CI/CD
  • Proven experience working in dynamic and complex technical estates
  • Familiar with cloud adoption and what it takes to achieve migration from on-prem to AWS or Azure led solution 
  • NV1 clearance is a minimum however TSPV is of high interest. 

Senior RHEL Consultant key responsibilities:
  • Working with the team or alone to drive customer outcomes
  • Execute complex solutions in line with business requirements
  • Help align outcomes with customers strategy for ICT
  • Consult with clients and partners on issues and problems identified in the ICT environment
  • Report both into client and internal stakeholders on progress and issue escalation
