Protiviti’s Internal Audit and Financial Advisory (IAFA) team works with executives, management teams and audit committees at the largest and most recognised organisations in Australia. As part of the IAFA team, you will make substantial impacts across our diverse client and project portfolio.

Position

In addition to direct, client-facing engagement responsibilities, our Senior Consultants utilise their knowledge to supervise Consultants in executing governance, risk or assurance project work plans. Serving as both role model and trainer, you will demonstrate the attributes of excellent client service and assist team members in developing their technical and professional competency.

As a Senior Consultant, you will get the opportunity to work across a multitude of industries and organisations. You will spend significant time with clients to understand their business problems and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Senior Management in the planning, fieldwork execution / testing, reviewing and reporting stages of large and complex client engagements.
  • Delivering professional and highly valued internal audit services to our clients.
  • Serving as both role model and trainer to junior team members through demonstrating the attributes of excellent client service and assisting team members in developing their technical and professional competency.

Position Requirements:

  • The position requires travel to client sites. Out-of-town travel also may be required.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in industry or professional services.
  • Experience in audit consulting with proven ability to maintain effective client relationships to communicate control strengths and weaknesses to the client or internal audit engagement team and develop effective solutions to identified weaknesses.
  • Experience in preparing audit reports on findings and recommendations and presenting to senior management.
  • Understanding of internal audit and internal control industry frameworks (e.g. COSO, COBIT) and risk management standards (e.g. ISO 31000).
  • Internal audit technical skills including conducting stakeholder interviews, preparing internal audit scopes, work programs, reports and flowcharts.
  • Sound knowledge of core business processes (e.g. accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, procurement, inventory, contract management, human resources and payroll).
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certification such as CA, CPA or CIA a plus.
