Australian Fund Manager looking for Cloud Engineer as part of an enterprise wide transformation to completely revamp the business, digitizing it completely, improving tech platforms, Agile methodologies & processes with the aim of becoming a customer-led business and boosting market share.

The Cloud Engineer contributes to the team goals and objectives by providing design, implementation, and

management of cloud-based environments, infrastructure and services to create and operate highly robust,

available and secure cloud environments.

What will you be doing?

  • Deploy and configure Cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking components, and security features.
  • Build cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (Compute, Network, Storage; IAAS, PaaS, other services)
  • Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and testing of applications and infrastructure.
  • Monitor, control and optimize Cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement security controls and best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance and support in building cloud-native applications.
  • Design and implement high availability and recoverability environments including designing and implementing disaster recovery and backup strategies for Cloud resources.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft Azure features, services, and best practices.

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • 3+ years of relevant experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager Templates, Terraform or Bicep for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
