Job Summary

Our client is currently in search of a DevSecOps Engineer to strengthen their team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in software security frameworks and threat analysis, including a deep understanding of OWASP tools and strategies. This position entails close collaboration with development team leads and the Head of Engineering & Data.

Technology:

  • Proficiency in Terraform and/or AWS CDK/Cloudformation.
  • Observability using Datadog.
  • Familiarity with AWS Platform and services such as Lambda, Glue, and SQS.
  • Containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines and Github Actions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software security frameworks, threat analysis, including OWASP tools and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloudformation, automating server provisioning, configuration, and management.
  • Establish and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate code building, testing, and deployment.
  • Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for effective management and scaling of containerized applications.
  • Address and resolve production issues, conducting root cause analysis, documenting findings, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Deploy and configure monitoring tools to monitor application performance, infrastructure health, and anticipate potential issues.
  • Take charge of planning and integrating security policies and practices into the development process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of the latest DevSecOps tools, technologies, and best practices, incorporating improvements into processes.
  • Define and monitor pertinent metrics to gauge the efficacy of DevSecOps practices and identify areas for enhancement.
