CQ Medicentre is seeking a Full Time / Part Time Practice Nurse Manager to join our busy Practices to provide leadership and operational management to a team of Nurses, ensuring the highest standard of patient care. In this role you will work closely with the management team to maintain efficiency of the treatment room while mentoring clinical staff. This opportunity includes managerial roles across two busy medical practices, both situated in Rockhampton. Both Practices provide a full range of general practice services in well-equipped facilities.

Tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Provide leadership and effective management to a team of Nurses
  • Maintain the Treatment Room and ensure it is being run efficiently with appropriate staff numbers, following best practice procedures
  • Ensure the provision of quality nursing care through efficient and effective, safe and timely services exercising a significant level of initiative in the direct coordination, implementation and evaluation of care with appropriate outcomes.
  • Assist with all treatment room procedures and conducting health assessments, GP management plans and reviews
  • Demonstrate commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Effectively communicate and promote good interpersonal relationships both within and outside the organisation.
  • Ensure documentation and administrative responsibilities conform to legal requirements and practice practice policy.
  • A commitment to Quality Improvement, Risk Management and the accreditation process

Essentials qualifications and experience: 

  • AHPRA Registration 
  • Registered Nurse with prior experience in Primary Health Care
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Exceptional communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously 
  • Caring and collaborative approach to patient care

Additional experience in: 

  • Experience using Best Practice Software
  • Assisting with staff training 
  • Assisting with accreditation 
  • Assisting with procedures and wound care
  • Pre-Employment Medicals
  • Health Assessments and chronic disease management planning
  • Maintaining clinical supplies/stock control, 
  • Vaccinations and vaccine management
  • Reprocessing Instruments and appropriate standard
