The purpose of this role is to provide advanced clinical leadership and clinical expertise and care relevant to the speciality of surgical services. The Clinical Nurse Consultant for Rockhampton Hospital works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Surgical Teams, and the state-wide program team to support the clinical unit in providing of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the surgical services.About you:
Mandatory qualification/s:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. A relevant postgraduate diploma or master's degree is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.Demonstrate advanced specialist contemporary peri operative/post operative knowledge, experience, and clinical skills.Ability to identify health equity issues in relation to post operative discharge.Demonstrates critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills, and expert clinical judgement in relation to post operative care and management.What we offer:
