In this role, you will provide leadership and advanced level of decision making within a multi-disciplinary team.
Location: The GERI/RaSS team work collaboratively with the older person, their caregivers, and the broader healthcare team. The CNC provides nursing leadership to the multidisciplinary team in order to facilitate the best outcomes for the older person presenting to the Emergency Department.
Submit your application now to be consideredThe CQHHS is offering an exciting and innovative opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to work within the Geriatric Evaluation Rapid Intervention (GERI) Team / Residential Aged Care Acute Support Service (RaSS) Team at Rockhampton Hospital. The GERI/RaSS Team operates collaboratively with community-based services, residential aged care facilities, hospital inpatient teams and multidisciplinary Allied Health services.About the role:
The CNC will provide expertise and leadership for ensuring the GERI/ RaSS team across CQHHS is evidence based and of the highest quality, meeting relevant standards and performance indicators. The CNC provides advice via telephone triage to RACF clinicians, in consultation with the GERI/RaSS Senior Medical Consultant.Provide clinical leadership for the GERI/RaSS services through the application of advanced clinical knowledge, skills, and competency according to contemporary practice and standards of care.Provide education leadership and expertise and act as a clinical resource, mentor role model, and technical expert within the multidisciplinary team environment.About you:

Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements:
A relevant postgraduate Diploma or Masters' degree is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.Proven ability to communicate relevant, prompt, and accurate information; is approachable and resourceful in working with senior colleagues and peers; uses good judgement in prioritising courses of action and is respectful to co-workers and customers.What we offer:
