An exciting opportunity is now available for a Permanent Full-Time Regional Advisor (Finance and Business Management) to join the Northern Region at Townsville.

About Your Opportunity
In the role of Regional Advisor (Finance and Business Management) you will provide expert advice, consultation and facilitation on financial, business management and performance measurement matters. You will ensure that the Region's financial management practices are coordinated, effective and efficient and are in accordance with departmental policies, Government legislation and standards.

Accountabilities include:
• Contribute to the direction, strategies and management of the region and division by providing expert and authoritative advice in relation to financial management, facilitation of business planning processes and the development of performance measures, new initiatives and policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and manage corporate finance, asset and business management processes for the region.
• Advise Regional Management Team and staff on matters relating to business management policies and procedures across all functions and product lines.
• Coordinate and manage the timely preparation of financial and business management reporting to facilitate analysis, informed resource allocation and preparation of regional finance and business statements.
• Coordinate and manage procurement activities for the region.
• Liaise and consult with managers, colleagues and staff throughout the department to maximise consistency in the application of policies, procedures and operations.
• Facilitate the development and maintenance of a high level of knowledge and expertise of staff in relation to contemporary financial and business management.
• Develop and implement training programs/presentations for the region in financial and business management.
• Participate actively in corporate special projects relating to financial management, business planning and business management as required.
• Actively participate in the Division's performance management process through accepting and providing positive and constructive feedback. Participate in training and development opportunities as necessary to achieve regional goals.
• Actively contribute to TMR Zero Harm and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, policies, standards and practices.
