The Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology is a thriving centre of learning, teaching and research in a vast range of engineering and science schools and disciplines. The multidisciplinary hub develops future leaders, and actively partners with innovative industries to solve scientific problems of global significance. The School of Architecture and Civil Engineering is one of Australia’s leading educators across the disciplines of Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The school offers a stimulating environment in which to work, and leaders within the school are dedicated to providing a rewarding work environment that recognises the contribution of all staff.
Opportunities Available:- Assist with the delivery of Semester 2 undergraduate and postgraduate courses starting on Monday, 22 July 2024.
- View available courses through the application form to determine the work offerings for individual courses.
- Meet the essential criteria:
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or enrollment in the final year of a 4-year honours program in a relevant field.
- Good technical knowledge of the key teaching components of the courses you are applying for.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly to students.
- Availability and flexibility to meet the minimum hourly/sessional requirements for the course.
- Ability to work collegially to support excellent teaching within the school.
- Australian citizenship or possession of an eligible Australian working visa.*
- Consider the desired criteria:
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Teaching qualifications or formal training.
- Previous experience with casual work within the school.
- Demonstrated ability to educate and mentor students.
- Evidence of good student feedback in student evaluations.
- Evidence of positive feedback from course coordinators.
