The School of Architecture and Civil Engineering is one of Australia’s leading educators across the disciplines of Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The school offers a stimulating environment in which to work, and leaders within the school are dedicated to providing a rewarding work environment that recognises the contribution of all staff.
We are seeking dedicated and passionate casual staff to assist with the delivery of our Semester 2 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, commencing Monday 22 July 2024.
Application process:
- Please view the available courses through the application form, to determine what area of work offerings are being made available for individual courses.
- Ensure you meet the essential criteria:
- As a minimum, the applicant will have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or be enrolled in their final year of a 4 year honours program in a relevant field
- Good technical knowledge of the key teaching components of the courses you are applying for
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical information to students
- Available and flexible to meet the minimum hourly/sessional requirements for the course
- Able to work collegially to support excellent teaching within the school
- Are an Australian citizen or possess eligible Australian working visa*
*Please note: Prospective employees are required to provide evidence of their Australian citizenship or working rights.
- Consider the desired criteria:
- Conferral of a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
- Teaching qualifications or formal training
- Previous experience with casual work within the school
- Demonstrated ability to educate and mentor students
- Evidence of good student feedback in student evaluations
- Evidence of good feedback from course coordinators
