We now have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer and a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. These roles will primarily support clients operating in the Water sector.

As part of our commitment to encourage flexible work arrangements, we are pleased to consider applicants who would like to work on a part-time basis.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

  • Undertaking design and design lead roles for challenging and complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the entire lifecycle including detailed planning, including condition assessments options development and concept and detailed design
  • Opportunity to be a part of the integrated engineering team with our clients to provide mechanical/hydraulic input to planning, investigations and front-end engineering design for the capital program of works
  • Lead and mentor emerging members of the team to ensure the development of our engineering team more broadly
  • Provide mechanical engineering input into projects interstate and overseas including with clients in the industrial and resources sectors
  • Engage and build positive relationships with existing and potential clients and stakeholders, support business development and tenders to win and deliver work for Aurecon

What We Are Looking For

You’ll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future.

Specifically:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Chartered member of Engineers Australia or eligible to apply for membership
  • Experience in water and/or wastewater design, mechanical design and documentation
  • Experience in hydraulics, pump station design, CFD analysis and/or pipe stress analysis would all be advantageous
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to communicate effectively throughout all facets of our organisation and with our external stakeholders
