What does the role involve
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Front End Software Developer with expertise in Vue.js to join our dynamic development team. As a Front-End Software Developer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing user interface components using Vue.js and ensuring the seamless integration of front-end and back-end technologies.
You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and back-end developers to deliver high-quality, user-friendly web applications.
You will be involved in all phases of project delivery from design through to development and delivery. In collaboration with internal stakeholders, you will develop software solutions that deliver an outstanding customer experience.
What we need in the role
This key role demands a highly motivated team player with at least two years of relevant experience in Front-End Software Development. You are meticulous and thorough and possess excellent communication skills to engage with all levels of stakeholders. You will bring your continuous improvement mindset to delivery high quality outcome to our customers. The role would suit an independent and self-driven developer looking to own their own space and become the subject matter expert in a small team.
Short term, you will work alongside the Senior Developer to rebuild Encoo’s primary portal application using our target frontend technology, Vue.js. Long term, you will operate as the specialist in frontend design and development for the business, taking ownership of that space and working alongside other developers. You will continue to evolve our primary portal as well as contribute to new projects, and update legacy projects to modern frontends.

Based in Melbourne, you’ll be part of a small team of passionate communications experts.
Your role will see you (and require you) to consistently interact with internal stakeholders across the business.
What responsibilities form part of this role?
- Develop new user-facing features using Vue.js, HTML, and CSS, JavaScipt Frameworks
- Build reusable and modular components and libraries for future use.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with the design team to translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code.
- Work closely with back-end developers to ensure smooth integration of front-end and back-end systems.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise and provide timely resolutions. testing
- Continuously improve the performance, usability, and responsiveness of web applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and industry best practices.

Specific skills/qualifications needed
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Front-End Software Developer using Vue and the Vue ecosystem ( Vuetify, Vite, Nuxt etc. )
- Experience with semantic
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Solid understanding of component-based architecture and front-end frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Gulp.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and code branching/merging strategies.
- Ability to translate UI/UX designs into efficient, responsive, and visually appealing web interfaces.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- A portfolio of past projects or code samples showcasing your Vue.js expertise is highly desirable.
