Position overview

A fantastic career development opportunity to join our technical and regulation team as a Senior Technical Advisor until the end of August 2024.

The Senior Technical Advisor (Building) is responsible for providing high-level technical building advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders, responding to issues and enquiries, developing documentation, reports and briefings, liaising with industry, supporting technical committees/boards and providing specialised technical services.

Who we are looking for;

  • Eligibility for registration as a Building Surveyor or Building Inspector with experience in a Building Surveyor / Inspector role within the private or municipal environments.
  • Detailed knowledge and application of building regulatory framework including the Building Act, Building Regulations and National Construction Code and other relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience providing high quality technical advice to a range of stakeholders, including the ability to build, maintain and negotiate strategic outcomes.
  • Extensive written communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare highly complex technical reports in a clear, concise, timely and accurate manner, briefing memoranda, stakeholder correspondence and recommendations.
  • Experience in places of public entertainment, prescribed temporary structures and performance-based building will also be highly regarded.
