The Role

As the Senior Mobile App Developer you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications using the Flutter framework. Your expertise in Flutter and mobile app development will contribute to creating engaging, intuitive, and visually appealing applications for our users.

Our software engineering teams have built some of Australia’s most popular websites and apps, with millions of unique visitors each year to our digital platforms, including WikiCamps, the number one Paid App in the App Store Australia. The G'day Group is undergoing a significant period of growth and is investing in technology and business processes to ensure we can provide market leading digital experiences for our customers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate senior mobile developer to work on exciting projects, contributing to the growth of our mobile app portfolio, and be part of a dynamic and collaborative team.

Responsibilities will include:

·Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend developers, to gather requirements and develop mobile applications using Flutter.

·Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Dart language, following industry best practices and coding standards.

·Design and implement user interfaces that are visually appealing, responsive, and provide excellent user experiences.

·Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party libraries as needed.

·Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and usability issues.

·Stay updated with the latest advancements in Flutter and mobile app development trends, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance the development process.

·Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free applications.

·Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.

·Maintain proper documentation of code, configurations, and development processes.

Your Experience

Tertiary Qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a relevantfield. You will have proven experience as a Flutter Developer or Mobile App Developer, with a strong portfolio of mobile applications. You will be proficient in Flutter framework and Dart programming language is ideal (but React Native or iOS/Android would also be great).

You will have a solid understanding of mobile app development principles, including UI/UX design, asynchronous programming, and RESTful APIs. Experience with integrating third-party libraries and APIs within Flutter applications and familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git will be highly regarded. Prior experience with integrating Maps into mobile applications, mobile apps that have offline capabilities and server-side scripting languages, back-end technologies and frameworks will be considered favorably.
