Be part of a small dynamic and high performing team of 4 people within Offshore Wind Energy Victoria. The team leads Victoria's offshore wind legislative and regulatory reforms.

The role involves undertaking policy and regulatory engagement with a range of stakeholders including across Victorian government, Australian government, regulatory agencies, industry and community stakeholders.

The role requires a candidate with a legal and policy background as it will entail analysis of legislation and regulation across State and Federal levels and supporting the development of Victorian offshore wind policy reforms.

Expertise or familarity with any of energy, land, environment, biodiversity, planning and public/administrative law and practice is desirable.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in law plus any one of the following: public policy, regulatory policy, environment, biodiversity, land, planning is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of the technical and policy opportunities for renewable energy in Victoria and Australia, and related energy policy and the energy market is desirable

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 Months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
