Based in Moore Park, NSW and reporting to Head of SRE, this role is accountable for implementing and managing best practice agile delivery and program management of products and features while working directly with the wide range of business and technology teams to deliver the strategic initiatives. Take pride in every piece of software you build, test, support and own regardless of the scale.

Key criteria:

  • Good understanding of incident response and management processes, collaborating closely with engineering teams on building/enhancing tools and automation solutions for faster resolution of issue impacting SLO and developing plans to reduce/avert incidents.
  • Experience in setting up monitoring systems, defining alerts, and analysing metrics and logs to identify performance bottlenecks or system issues.
  • Integrate security controls, processes, and best practices into the SDLC, including code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and security testing.
  • Conduct threat modelling exercises and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and prioritise remediation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain automated security processes and tools for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Automate security checks, code scanning, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Enhancing customer facing experience by proactive alerting based on utilization, trends, resource health, etc.
  • Analyse data and provide operational insights into customer experience to Design and Product teams, so that we can design features with Supportability in mind.
 Ideally you will have:
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus etc.
  • Extensive hands-on experience using Amazon services (the more areas experience the better): Serverless Architecture AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambdas, AWS CloudFormation or Terraform, CloudWatch, CI/CD, IoT/event-driven/microservices in the cloud.
  • Experience with tools like GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Solution/technical architecture in the cloud including migration from on-premises infrastructure.
  • Experience in cloud security principles including container scanning, network security, vulnerability scanning at platform layers.
  • Experience with API Gateways including working in an open API environment.
  • Aptitude for critical and analytical thinking, as well as the capacity to leverage out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Keen for a challenging environment with opportunities to learn, grow, and be exposed to a variety of problems, clients, and technologies.
Other criteria include:
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers
