About the role

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the livesof people living with dementia? Do you seek a nurturing environmentwhere compassion and innovation come together? Join us as a RespiteCoordinator on a full-time basis and be at the forefront of ourexciting expansion.

Plans are underway to relocate our respite centre to Maddington,expanding our service capacity and introducing innovative newwellbeing programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee respite programs tailored to theneeds of individuals with dementia and their families.
  • Cultivate a warm and welcoming atmosphere that prioritiseswellbeing.
  • Manage a dedicated team of centre-based staff, ensuringsafe, individual, connected and effective care.
  • Coordinate all elements of respite centre operations,including recruitment, staff management, rostering, clientreferrals, meals, activities, service delivery quality,laundry, community outings
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to tailor servicesto meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Be a driving force in relocating our respite centre toMaddington and play an important role in growing our new modelof care

About You

You bring a genuine passion for enhancing the lives ofindividuals living with dementia, along with:

  • Proven experience in effectively managing staff
  • Experience in managing a respite/social centre (or similar)desirable
  • An interest in best-practice dementia care, including anunderstanding of dementia-specific care practices, behaviourmanagement strategies and activities that focus on improvingwellbeing.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to forgestrong connections with clients, families, and stakeholders todrive referrals.
  • Empathy, patience and a genuine passion for improving thelives of others.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of amultidisciplinary team while also demonstrating initiative andindependent decision-making.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to tailor servicesto meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6months)
