The opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Talent & Pathways Advisor to join Huon’s team based at our brand new office in Hobart city

Our Talent & Pathways Advisor is responsible for end to end recruitment including attraction and sourcing through to onboarding, and provides coaching and advice to leaders and employees.

You are an experienced recruiter with a savvy ability to identify top talent. You enjoy working on a diverse range of positions in a fast-paced team environment. You are:

  • Self-motivated and passionate about matching the right person with the right opportunity.
  • A proactive relationship builder and act as a trusted expert driving best practice in attraction and retention.
  • A pro at managing high volume recruitment, balancing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and consistently deliver a great people experience.
  • An eagle eye with fine details and adept with using MO Suite and PageUp and learning new systems.
  • A confident communicator who understands the needs of hiring leaders, job seekers, and communicates with them in mind.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Talent Advisor who thrives in a fast paced and supportive team environment, focused on creating an exceptional people experience. You will:

  • Manage and coordinate the recruitment of a range of positions across Huon including our Freshwater Hatcheries, Marine Operations, Processing Factories, and Corporate team.
  • Partner with leaders to design recruitment processes from launching attraction campaigns and targeted advertisements through to delivering offers and driving a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Provide coaching in recruitment best practice methodologies and design career pathways for our people in conjunction with our People & Culture and Learning & Development teams.
  • Attend job fairs and expos and facilitate career talks at community events and schools, providing career and pathway advice and Huon employment opportunities on offer.
  • Role model our values in every interaction and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
