About the role:
The Head of Operations is responsible for leading and developing a high performing and market leading Operational team in the Industrial division for Manheim Australia & New Zealand. Working closely with the Head of Industrial, other Industrial Heads and state General Managers, you will play a key leadership role with the goal of developing and executing the growth of the company by developing processes, products and services nationally for both the current and new businesses.
For this role, you will also be responsible for building business operations plans to meet or exceed growth expectations, by working with all key stakeholders across the company. With the focus of continuous improvement in our operational systems and processes. You will ensure that the company delivers innovative and effective Inventory solutions. As part of this position, you will need to regularly travel (interstate and NZ) to assist with the development and execution of the business.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure onsite and offsite operational objectives of the Industrial division are most effective.
- Continuously seek out opportunities for operational improvement in all areas of the business; recommend and implement improvement plans.
- Conduct financial capex budgeting activities to ensure financial health and sustainability.
- Collaborate with all key stakeholders to align operational activities with overarching business goals.
- Managing and developing a high-performing team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Ideally you will possess:
- Expert operational and people leader with a proven track record of driving performance and delivering results
- Experience in strategy development, planning and the delivery of both internal and external engagement and change campaigns
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business acumen, leadership, decision-making and time management skills
- Project management skills with experience in handling competing priorities by utilising your outstanding organisational and planning ability
- Ability to study, analyse and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches
