Who are we:

Ark Energy is a leading Australian renewable energy company specialising in wind, solar, battery storage and hydrogen. Established in January 2021 as a subsidiary of Korea Zinc, our mandate is to decarbonise the energy supply of the Korea Zinc group, while making a significant contribution to environmental sustainability and supporting the communities we work with.

We own a growing portfolio of wind and solar energy projects in Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania. We are also at the forefront of developing Australia’s green hydrogen energy industry with a number of projects underway in northern Queensland. About You:

With over 15 years’ experience in engineering and construction project management, you have a proven track record of delivering high-value projects. This experience will enable you to shape critical business decisions and ensure effective project delivery.

Your proficiency in robust program and project management showcases your attention to detail and strategic acumen, leading to successful outcomes. Additionally, your expertise in senior stakeholder management and leadership within cross-functional teams enhances your ability to navigate the complexities of project implementation.

The Role:

As the Project Director, for our Battery renewable energy project, you will be the driving force behind one of our most exciting and impactful renewable energy initiatives within New South Wales. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Strategic leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan that aligns with our renewable energy goals.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of the project, from initial concept through to completion, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.

Team management

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of battery technologies.

Stakeholder engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, investors and community groups.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges and successes effectively to all stakeholders.

Technical oversight

  • Provide expert guidance on the technical aspects of battery storage systems and grid integration.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.

Financial management

  • Manage the project budget, ensuring financial efficiency and accountability.

Risk management

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the project remains on track.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and adjust plans as necessary to address emerging challenges.

Innovation and improvement

  • Stay abreast of latest advancements in renewable energy technology and integrate innovative solutions into the project.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
