Job Description Summary

As a facilities Manager, you'll oversee facility operations. Directly supervising staff and operations, you'll ensure alignment with client objectives and drive excellence in building management.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage building staff in the absence of the Facility Manager or Senior Facility Manager, overseeing all operational functions as per company policies and client directives.

  • Take charge of the day-to-day operations of our facilities, including janitorial, life-safety, engineering, site services, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with all contracts and regulations.

  • Supervise maintenance programs to uphold the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of our properties, promptly addressing any maintenance or repair needs.

  • Compile accurate and timely site-specific documentation and reports, including property information, emergency procedures, compliance logs, and financial reports.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop capital budgets and maintenance plans for facility improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor tenant and vendor compliance with insurance requirements and coordinate claims as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in facilities management, building, business, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial or industrial real estate with facility management experience required.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in CMMS/Work Order Management systems preferred.

  • Relevant certifications such as CFM, IFMA, or BOMA recommended.

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints.

  • Work Environment:

  • This role operates in a professional office environment with occasional travel between properties.
