Business Development Manager role located in Thomastown, VIC
At Creative Hire we are specialists at creating and delivering premium hire display solutions that transform exhibitions, events, conferences, retail and corporate spaces. Whether a virtual event or tradition exhibition, we work with a range of clients from professional conference organisers, associations, corporations, venues and agencies to deliver complete exhibition solutions to direct clients and individual exhibitors to transform their event space. We are situated in both Victoria and New South Wales but we work nationally.
We seek a driven, enthusiastic, and highly skilled Business Development Manager to grow our client base. This unique and talented individual would have an exceptional understanding of the exhibition industry and market dynamics, with strong connections with clients from various industries. This includes multiple industries such as; luxury and premium brands in fashion, beauty, automotive, home appliances, consumer electronics, healthcare, and tech industries, among others. You will be directly involved in leading the expansion and growth of the company within the exhibition industry.
The role:
Reporting to the GM, you'll focus on expanding our services to new clients through a solid understanding of marketing and selling principles. Your positive, proactive, and considered approach to personal interactions enables you to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
You rise to challenges and will enjoy being involved in winning and nurturing new clients. You will be involved in everything from taking and relaying creative briefs, bid development, costings, and proposals whilst being the primary point of contact for your clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining networks to attract and secure new business within the exhibition industry.
- Procuring new clients and developing strategies to manage these relationships as well as long-standing clients.
- Collaborating with the Marketing Team to develop professional proposals and presentations, promotional material and exhibition content.
- Ensuring design briefs are clearly understood by the design team and then quoted with accurate project costs.
- Liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders promptly to ensure client expectations are met.
- Developing a deep knowledge of our products and services, to answer client queries effectively and understand what is feasible.
- Analyse market trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities.
- Plan and oversee budge for business development activities.
About you:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in business development, preferably within the exhibition or related industry.
- Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the exhibition industry and market dynamics.
- You demonstrate a high level of integrity and initiative with a positive 'can do' attitude.
- You have a genuine commitment to your clients and the company.
- You are highly organised, can work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple client requirements, and meet deadlines.
- Your work is thorough and accurate, showing a keen eye for detail
- You are a natural problem solver who remains calm and focused under pressure.
- You are an excellent communicator, who maintains a consistently high level of professionalism in face-to-face situations, in writing, and on the phone.
- You're flexible, accountable, and willing to work occasional extended hours to get the job done.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
- Further qualifications in sales or marketing would be advantageous.
