Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) Brisbane is part of a renowned network of specialist and emergency veterinary hospitals. Our state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide top-notch specialty services and 24/7 emergency and critical care. Our Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) team works around the clock with rotational shifts during evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Enjoy the benefits of penalty rates for most shifts, translating to more earnings and a better quality of life for you and your pet

About You
You share our commitment to outstanding patient care and seek a role where no two shifts are the same. You enjoy working in an energetic team environment with plenty of good-natured banter. You are organized, adaptable, enthusiastic, and a strong communicator, skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
- Minimum 3years of nursing experience in a busy general practice or experience in a referral (specialist hospital) or emergency setting
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays, and to assist with short-notice shift cover if needed
- A friendly, easygoing nature, capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- A strong work ethic, efficiency, and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality patient care under busy conditions
- Diploma of Veterinary Nursing (Emergency and Critical Care)
- Proficiency in anesthetic monitoring and nursing critical and ventilated patients
- Experience in an emergency or specialist hospital
- Familiarity with RX Works, Smartflow, and Idexx blood machines
- Work in a supportive, happy emergency team guided by an ECC specialist
- On-the-job training and support from senior nurses and veterinarians
- Encouragement and support for continuing education and professional development
