An exciting opportunity has become available within our client's Information Services team for a Coordinator of Business Systems and Applications. This permanent full-time role will see you coordinating and leading delivery, support, and maintenance activities within their business domains.

You will manage both on-premises and Cloud software systems, aligning with their Corporate and Operational Plans and Digital Strategy. Supervising the Business Systems team, you will provide expert advice on identifying, analysing, and documenting business processes while upholding our client's values of Respect, Integrity, Customer Service, and Teamwork.

In this role, you will guide and mentor the Business Systems team to deliver exceptional customer service and support. You will provide strategic direction to achieve optimal efficiency, productivity, and service excellence, motivating the team to enhance overall performance through effective leadership and continuous improvement. You will coordinate strategic initiatives, budget control, scheduling, and related activities to ensure consistent service levels, oversee selection, recruitment, and development of the team, including performance appraisals, and ensure adequate resourcing and funding through participation in the annual budgeting process. Additionally, you will plan and prioritise projects, ensuring accountability for outcomes, and offer strategic guidance to project management teams, fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

You will liaise with business sections to identify needs and help achieve outcomes, identify opportunities for efficient and effective use of application systems, and regularly review and implement IT service and support protocols to improve efficiency. Monitoring helpdesk resolution times to ensure excellent service delivery, you will collaborate with stakeholders to align system functionality with business needs.
Contributing to the delivery of the client’s Digital Strategy projects, including the ERP implementation, you will develop strategic direction for business systems improvements and offer advice across the organisation. You will provide day-to-day support and systems administration, maintaining smooth operation, and ensure data compliance with current data protection and privacy legislation. Coordinating systems development and enhancement programs, managing commercial relationships with service providers, and implementing solutions using established project and change management methodologies, you will oversee the retirement of legacy systems and data, implement change management practices to improve business systems, manage system user security profiles, maintain expertise in computer applications, and manage system contracts.

To be successful in this role, you will need a tertiary qualification in Business, IT, or Systems discipline and/or equivalent experience. You should have experience leading an ICT support team with a focus on customer service and continual improvement, developing comprehensive test plans, training plans, and procedures, and producing business process workflows and new system requirements. Experience working with Local Government Authorities and TechnologyOne expertise is highly desirable.
