Senior Audit Associate

Position: Senior Audit Associate (Contract) Duration: 3-4 Months Location: Sydney CBD
About the Client: A leading business in the hospitality & retail sectors is seeking a Senior Audit Associate for a 3-4 month contract. Based in the heart of Sydney CBD.
Role Overview: The ideal candidate will have strong external audit experience and solid taxation knowledge. Experience auditing hospitality companies is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Analyze financial statements and reports to identify potential risks and discrepancies.
- Provide detailed audit findings and recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure audit objectives are met.
- Stay current with relevant tax regulations and apply this knowledge effectively during audits.
- Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns as needed.
- Proven experience as an external auditor, preferably with a reputable firm.
- Strong knowledge of taxation principles and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPA or CA qualification is preferred.
- Experience auditing hospitality companies is advantageous but not essential.
