Seeking an Executive Director to lead Strategic Policy and Legislation for the Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the Arts.
The role is responsible for providing high level policy and strategy advice to our Minister, Director-General and Deputy Directors-General and other Government agencies on policy issues for all program areas of this department.
We are seeking to fill the Executive Director, Strategic Policy and Legislation. This role provides high level policy and strategy advice to the Minister, Director-General, Deputy Directors-General, and other Government agencies on policy issues for all program areas of the department. The successful candidate will lead a committed team to deliver on the department's policy and legislation program to make a positive difference to the lives of Queenslanders, particularly around First Nations policy reform.
The Strategic Policy and Legislation Branch comprises the following focus areas:
- Closing the Gap
- Justice and Legal Policy
- Social and Economic Policy
- Strategic Policy Projects.
Given the nature of the role and its connection to Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples knowledge and cultures, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
