We pride ourselves on our family-based culture, which not only shows within our team structure but throughout our projects as well. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to join our South East Queensland team.

About the role

An exciting opportunity is now available for an experiencedProject Manager to join our team on a full-time basis to deliver various projects throughout QLD including but not limited to Civil Works, Roads, Industrial developments and Remidiation works. The suitable Project Manager will have the ability to take a holistic approach, from estimating, planning, then support for procuring materials and sub contractors, construction and handover of the projects. You will be an integral part of the Management Team and working to build and grow the business as well as supporting the Director, Site Supervisors & teams.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful applicant will have worked on Civil Construction projects previously as a Project Manager who has the following experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, across the Civil Construction sectors
  • Strong Management and Leadership Skills to plan and organise jobs
  • Ability to Tender and Estimate on multiple tenders
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • A degree in Construction or Project Management (or similar)
  • Solid experience managing multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Proven experience with projects up to the value of $10 million 
  • Proven experience with quality control systems and specifications
  • Ensuring critical milestones are met in the program or prompt reporting of program slippages with recommended corrective actions to ensure successful project or contract outcomes.
  • Timeliness of procurement activities to avoid unnecessary delays to project.
  • Accurate and efficient financial management of all contracts, preparation of monthly claims
  • Compliance with relevant legislation, Council and TMR specifications. 
  • Identification of areas for improvement to process and procedures that could result in better outcomes for AGS Civil and our clients.
  • Advanced skills with Excel, Microsoft suite and Project
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times
  • High commitment to Quality, Safety and Environmental practices
  • Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Hold a Construction White Card
  • RPEQ desireable but not essential
