Civil Construction Estimator

We're looking for a talented Civil Estimator to join our team in a full time, part-time or contracted capacity - up to you

Working with and reporting to our Senior Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for delivering quotes for a diverse range of clients, including Subdivisions, Earthworks, Road & Infrastructure, Industrial & Commercial Building & Concrete works. 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

  • Undertake detailed estimates using a combination of quotations and rates derived from first principals. 
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders 
  • Assist with the development/streamlining of current estimating system, resource and rate library’s.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Team ensuring continued growth, and identification of new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with key suppliers to maintain high quality relationships and a strong supply chain
  • Regularly liaise with Clients and Clients Representatives in the target markets.
  • Estimate and prepare the tender or budget estimate.
  • Assist the Project Team with post tender discussions, clarifications and meetings. 
  • Promote the business in a positive manner to create opportunities.
  • Conduct meetings in early stages of the Tender period with the Estimating Manager and other team members
  • Measurement of works to verify quantities.
  • Compiling and applying rates to arrive at final construction costs

ABOUT YOU

  • You will have a commitment to quality and professionalism in all tasks performed. 
  • At least 5+ years and a proven track record in a similar role. 
  • Self-motivation and able to work independently and in team environment

D&Js Civil Construction are a small, but growing business. Trading since 2015 we have delivered multiple multimillion dollar projects across Queensland. We are hardworking and have a great company culture. We have a loyal & efficient workforce that we reward regularly and provide a safe and happy work environment. We are civil pipe layers at heart but are wanting to expand the business and extend our knowledge into other areas of the civil space. 

THE DEAL

We are happy to negotiate salary and contract (full-time, part-time, contracted). We prefer the majority of your work to be done in the office so that you can liaise and work alongside the team although working remotely can also be an option when/if required.
