Our client is a prominent leader in the family entertainment industry, known for providing a comprehensive range of high-quality and innovative products. With a legacy spanning over a century, the company has established itself as a key player in the market.

A rare and exciting opportunity has opened for the General Manager (GM) on permanent basis. As the GM you will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the business. This international company is looking to build on their existing growth/success with the GM playing a pivotal part in this.
 

Role: General Manager
Type: Permanent
Salary: $165,000 + Super + Bonus potential + Company vehicle
Location: Western Sydney

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing daily operations as required such as the stock levels, pricing, sales, distribution of products
• Directing sales, marketing strategies/plans and customer service standards
• Creating and implementing growth strategies
• Setting key performance goals
• Reporting key income forecasts and results to senior executives
• Review financial statements, sales, or other performance data to monitor budget goals
• Hiring key personnel and overseeing training programs
• Overseeing key account customer projects and service standards

Key Requirements:

• Senior management experience with full P&L responsibility
• Excellent commercial acumen and strategic thinking
• Leadership and people management experience
• Strong operational background
• Previous proven ability in growing a business unit/business
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Proven track record on developing and implementing process and change
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks
• Role will include some domestic and international travel
• Ideally someone with a family entertainment or hospitality background

 
This role would suit someone that is currently a senior manager (operations, finance, marketing etc.) who is looking to take the next step in their careers.
