About the Role:

The Sr Director, Revenue Marketing is a charismatic and empathetic leader who se passion and tenacity drives key business results for some of D2L ’ s most critical and highly cross-functional programs. You are laser focused on achieving business outcomes (rather than completing tasks). As an expert marketer, you have experience managing complex projects, crafting and executing g o- t o- m arket strategies, and are relentless about reporting and communicating results/key learnings. Your deep relationships across the organization allow you to effectively introduce new ideas , processes, and programs that support improved marketing-wide demand generation performance and deliver business results.

As the owner of the marketing strateg ies and rollout for international education and corporate, you drive an organization-wide approach to successfully execute on highly collaborative, highly cross-functional marketing programs and campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue . You work relentlessly to break down barriers for your teammates , cut through red tape, and do anything required to secure the success of your programs.

Your multi-tasking, organization, communication skills are impeccable as evidenced by your broad cross-functional knowledge and ability to work in the weeds as well as communicate and negotiate at an executive level. You are adept at articulating highly complex programs, concepts, and problems in simple terms. You thrive in the role of champion for your programs as you effectively build consensus and a unified view of success by fostering strong cross-functional alignment and relationships across the company.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Project Management: Own and develop purposeful, well-thought-out marketing plans

  • Curation of a cohesive, multi-channel marketing plan and execution that requires a tenacious focus on collaboration and clear communication of the vision, KPIs, timelines, and results
  • Elicit and define requirements for highly complex , cross-functional demand generation programs
  • Support cross-functional teams by prioritizing outputs and workload management; identifying risks and opportunities in the current process to execute global integrated campaigns
  • Serve as the hub for cross-functional knowledge management/communication relating to your programs (be the “s ingle source of t ruth ” )
  • Solve problems getting in the way of success
  • Ensure a unified vision of success and lead cross-functional stakeholders in the successful execution of that vision
  • Project and program administration (status reporting at various levels, monitoring program health metrics and controls): Communicate on-going progress, issues, risks, and overall performance to all stakeholders
  • Risk and change management planning, mitigation, and controls
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Regional Strategy, Demand Generation & Campaign Planning:

  • Create unified cross-functional program plans, then, partner with functional areas to execute
  • Support regional leads on the development of purposeful, well-thought-out campaigns
  • Strategic alignment with your direct reports, peers, and colleagues across the services teams to craft targeted campaigns that support account-based marketing and selling efforts to drive pipeline and brand awareness
  • Track and report on the impact you’re having: Support the team in monitoring and optimizing tactical performance at every stage of the journey to ensure content/messaging is resonating. Identify how we can improve and bring your expertise to the table: How can we make it even better?
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with all functional areas of the company

People Leadership and Performance:

  • Manage and lead a team of global marketing professionals
  • Champion a high performing culture
  • Connect the team’s day to day accountabilities to D2L’s mission by setting clear objectives and performance expectations with team members
  • Provide coaching, regular feedback, career path development, growth opportunities, and create a collaborative and open environment
  • Produce and actively participate in knowledge sharing as well as professional development initiatives

  • Successful communicator who communicates complex information to others effectively and presents succinct, well-balanced information, with clear outcomes
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or other related discipline
  • Leads by Example with personal and professional integrity, high accountability and say/do ratio
  • Boundaryless collaboration and influence skills both within team, peer group and broader organization. Effective communicator with a proven track record of success.
